The principles developed in the transformation of House 02 were also applied to the refurbishment of this panel-system concrete block: six storeys were reduced to four, which meant there were fewer apartments per stairwell, and a perimeter masonry wall was added to visually consolidate the building and its outside space. A single, standardised ground plan was developed into a series of different apartment types. On the street side the perimeter wall is lower than at the back, this lowering rhythmically pointing out the entrances to the individual sections of the block. This rhythm is taken up in the vertical axis above each entrance by compact balconies. The apartments on the ground floor have generously sized gardens screened off by the perimeter wall; above the gardens the façade is structured by a cluster of differently designed and dimensioned balconies.
